The featured past and present projects are a small representation of the type of work MVE does. This list is comprised of projects that MVE and/or MVE key staff have been responsible for.




Public Works

City of Modesto Cannery Segregation Line ($8 Million) - Modesto, CA
Plans, specifications, and estimates for sewer infrastructure to convey cannery waste from the major food processors through the existing industrial district in order to by-pass the primary sewer treatment plant and deliver it directly to land applications, thereby increasing the capacity of the primary treatment plant.

Geer Road Street Improvements - Stanislaus County, CA
Survey, design and preparation of improvement plans, specifications and right-of-way documents for the related street improvements and storm drainage design.

Highway 120 Realignment ($3 Million) - Escalon, CA
Land planning and zoning, boundary/right-of-way surveys, topographic surveys, Local, State and Federal Regulatory Agency Permitting, water, sewer and storm drain infrastructure projects, street improvement projects, special assessment and financing district formations, and construction staking.

Modesto Track Consolidation ($22 Million) - Modesto, CA
The project consists of three major phases, including: track connections, near Lathrop and in South Modesto; Tuolumne Boulevard realignment and extension, and replacement of selected railway trestle spans; Kansas Avenue-Needham Street Overpass structure and approaches. Mid-Valley Engineering is providing: right-of-way plats, legal descriptions, field surveys and topography, maps, monumentation, right-of-way engineering, plans, specifications and cost estimates, for utility relocation, storm drainage, street lighting, and process assistance. We also provided horizontal and vertical control for aerial photography.

Central Valley Regional Amtrak Facility ($2.75 Million) - Modesto, CA
Land planning and zoning, boundary/right-of-way surveys, topographic surveys, Local, State and Federal Regulatory Agency Permitting, A.L.T.A. surveys, commercial developments, water, sewer and storm drain infrastructure projects, special assessment and financing district formations, construction staking and construction administration and inspection services.

Kiernan-Stoddard Intersection Improvements - Stanislaus County, CA
Completed Services: Survey, design and preparation of improvement plans, specifications and right-of-way documents for the installation of a traffic signal, related street improvements, and storm drainage design.

Briggsmore Avenue Renovation ($4 Million) - Modesto, CA
Boundary/right-of-way surveys, topographic surveys, street improvement projects and construction staking.

Pirrone Road Storm Drain Pump Station Design Build - Stanislaus County, CA
Preparation and design of pump station for contractor's use, including as-builts of structure upon completion.

Yosemite Blvd. / Highway 132 Widening ($1.1 Million) - Modesto, CA
Boundary / right-of-way surveys, topographic surveys, street improvement plans including coordination with Caltrans for the majority of the work was within the state highway right-of-way. These plans included major storm drainage facilities and traffic signal modifications.

Coffee/Briggsmore Intersection Widening ($1.8 Million) - Modesto, CA
Preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for the widening of the Briggsmore Avenue Coffee Road intersection which included drainage facilities, traffic signal modifications.

Chestnut Avenue Improvements - Fresno, CA
MVE provided consulting services for the improvements of Chestnut Avenue, a major collector road in the City of Fresno. MVE coordinated with the City of Fresno on the design. MVE’s engineers prepared the design plans for this 1.5 mile road widening project, including curb, gutter, sidewalk, storm drainage, water and sewer plans. MVE also prepared round-about design, water line extension, grading and utility plans.

Interstate 5 Widening - Stockton, CA
MVE has hired to survey 8+ miles of Interstate 5 for improvements from Country Club Boulevard to the North Gateway Interchange in Stockton. MVE performed field surveys and coordinated with the City of Stockton and Caltrans on the establishment of survey controls. MVE was responsible for the right-of-way survey/mapping and performed ground and bathymetric surveys for Country Club Boulevard, Michigan Avenue, Alpine Avenue, Telegraph Avenue, Calaveras River, EBMud Aqueduct, March Lane, 14 Mile Slough, Swain Road, Benjamin Holt Drive, Mosher Slough, Bear Creek and McAuliffe Road

Interstate 205 Survey - Tracy, CA
MVE has performed surveying services for 3 miles of Interstate 205, from Mountain House Parkway to Tracy Boulevard, in Tracy. MVE was responsible for right-of-way surveying/mapping and aerial, ground and bathymetric surveys for under and over crossings. MVE surveyed 50’ cross-sections of existing roadways (r/w to r/w), 50’ cross-sections of existing water ways and located edge of pavement, curb, gutters, sidewalks, striping, ground elevations, top and toe of slopes, walls, fences, utilities, structures, wall heights and underpass elevations.

State Route 92 Bisbee Highway - Sierra Vista, AZ
The work consists of pavement widening and reconstructing portions of the roadway in rural and urban sections which includes the following work: roadway excavation, furnishing and placing aggregate base, asphaltic concrete, concrete curb and gutter, traffic signals, detention basin excavation and construction, extending and constructing box and pipe culverts, installing storm drain systems, signing and marking and other related work.

Douglas Port of Entry - Cochise County, AZ
MVE has been contracted to provide Construction Surveying and Layout for the above referenced projects. This includes furnishing all materials, personnel, and equipment necessary to perform all surveying, staking, and verification of the accuracy of all existing control points which have been provided by ADOT. Also included are all calculations required for the satisfactory completion of the projects. All work shall be done under the direct supervision of a registered land surveyor or engineer as required.

Scalloped Streets - Gilbert, AZ
MVE will be providing surveying and construction staking for this 3.5 mile city street improvement project. MVE will be providing the field surveys and staking for the grading, paving, curbs, gutters and sidewalk. Additionally, our firm will be providing the survey and staking for 4,370’ of storm drainage, 5,466’ of water and 7,742’ of irrigation pipeline.
