We are looking to hire an experienced Accounting Assistant to handle our company’s accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting duties for the company. This includes entering vendor and expense invoices, preparing bank reconciliations, etc. The Accounting Assistant will report directly to the Controller.
To ensure success, you should have advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting systems, excellent project management skills, and a good eye for detail. A skilled Accounting Assistant efficiently handles all the accounting needs of the company, streamlining the business.
Accounting Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following
Managing the full cycle of accounting activities for the company.
Processing the accounts payable.
Collating and entering vendor expenses.
Preparing bank statement Reconciliations.
Invoicing clients and customers.
Processing accounts receivable.
Maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger.
Preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements.
Accounting Assistant Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field Preferred.
Previous experience in accounting.
Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping software (QuickBooks, Sage100, etc.) as well as Microsoft Word, including Excel.
Experience preparing financial statements and supporting documents.
Ability to work to a strict deadline.
Attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
