Hampton Inn and Suites is coming to Chico and MVE is first on-site providing professional services. The national company will be constructing a new hotel in the undeveloped lot between Kohl’s and Chico Mall, off Springfield Drive, according to associate planner Kimber Gutierrez of the city. Tourism is obviously one reason behind the need for rooms, but also is Chico State University’s graduations. The latter has been known to fill up rooms throughout Butte County and beyond. Then there is always business travel and other reasons for renting rooms. Stay tuned for more updates.
