MVE is providing professional services to the Pasadena Hope Center, a Salvation Army project. During construction of the Hope Center, the existing two-story facility will be restructured and a four-story building will be constructed, consisting of a Social Services Center on the first floor, as well as affordable permanent supportive housing on the third and fourth floors. In this facility, Pasadena children, families, seniors, and veterans will be able to receive the compassionate care they need and deserve. The Social Services department has a program space dedicated to emergency assistance and casework. Clients will be able to select their own groceries from a redesigned client-choice food pantry, accompanied by a volunteer or staff member. The Hope Center will provide 65 studio apartments for homeless single adults on the second to fourth floors. Single homeless adults, both veterans and non-veterans, both men and women, will be targeted by the program. In addition to subsidized rent, residents will receive extensive case management support services.
