Staten Island Levee - North Mokelumne

MVE is onsite providing professional services at the North Mokelumne River. Portions of the Staten Island levee system along the river are substandard, with others being worn down by water erosion. Reclamation District No. 38 is set to perform an impressive 16,000 linear feet of levee rehabilitation and over 6,000 linear feet of habitat enhancement.

​The result? A river system that is more resilient, sustainable, and eco-friendly, while still providing the crucial flood protection that the San Joaquin County needs. With this project, not only will the levee system be fortified against future floods, but there will also be a considerable improvement in the overall health of the river, bringing benefits to the flora, fauna, and the people that call the area home.
