State Route 132

Here’s an update on Caltrans’ State Route 132 project in Modesto: after three years of construction, the SR 132 Phase I Expressway is now fully open! The two-lane expressway is expected to create safer travel, reduce traffic congestion and commute times, and help the valley get its agricultural and manufacturing goods to market more efficiently. Construction crews are still active, putting the finishing touches on the new alignment, so stay alert and drive slow through work zones. Construction on Phase II is slated to begin in 2026.
